ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER

Peterculter Golf Club on the outskirts of Aberdeen have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Greenkeeper to join the green keeping team.

Candidates should have a proven ability as a greenkeeper and be able to work under pressure to the varied requirements of a busy golf club.

The successful candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and demonstrate an excellent understanding of all green keeping practices.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or working towards qualification.

PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates preferred but not essential.

Minimum 3 years green keeping experience.

A good knowledge of all green keeping machinery and its maintenance.

Ability to work unsupervised

Good communications skills.

Chainsaw certificate but not essential.

Flexibility to work varied hours such as early starts.

To maintain healthy and safe working practices at all times.

The successful candidates will be required to work flexible hours which include early mornings and a weekend rota.
