“They have talked about a golf course here for generations - it will never happen!”

This was the common reaction faced by the small group of determined souls who came together in the 1980’s with a vision to build a top quality golf course on the banks of the glorious River Dee.

The doubters were proved wrong. The community got behind the proposal and the dream became reality when Peterculter Golf Club came into play in 1991. The layout was sympathetic to the geography of the location and provided the opportunity of creating a variety of different types of holes all benefitting from the magnificent setting and views up and down the River Dee. The final piece of the jigsaw came in 1993 in the shape of our very handsome clubhouse built in the old Deeside style. And so the club was in business! From the outset we were determined not to stand on formality and ensure members and visitors alike would always receive the warmest of welcomes.

Where are we now?

Our course receives the plaudits of visitors from near and far, however we will not rest on our laurels and are committed to a programme of continuous improvement. Our committee is dedicated to meeting the various challenges of today's golf.

Our Pledge

We will:
* Never lose our founding ethos
* Be proactive in encouraging Juniors and families to take up the great game of golf
* Never rest until our course is all that it can be, innovation is in our DNA!

So come and play this spectacular course, where every hole presents its own particular challenge. Join us afterwards for refreshment and quality food from our chef, Adam MacKenzie, in the cosy atmosphere of our “Nineteenth Hole."
